Jack Bickel takes a tongue-in-cheek look back at his travels this year:

Business took him to Germany for work...hotels were comfortable
the views in Bavaria were terrific...
Architecture was interesting in Kochel...
Apparently, US Mail is still delivered the old fashioned way in Bavaria...
One weekend allowed exploration of the Zugspitz- highest Alp in Germany- really wished I'd gone modern... no heater- it was COLD!!!

In July, we had the opportunity to visit china for a couple weeks
Transportation is quite manual in china- this bicycle taxi is in the city of Xian an central china
Getting around in mainland china can try your patience...this is near Guilin, southeastern china
We often wished we had air conditioning- going modern is sometimes the better way...
Tienamen Square was impressive.  Their cars are not quite as modern as you might expect..
We had trouble finding the right parking spot at the Forbidden City.

Greetings from Jack and Pam Bickel
